A family session is all about connection. Those genuine candid smiles and laughs. Not your typical stand beside each other stiff and smile, those pictures show what a person look like. My goal is to create images that make you feel! That when you look at them years down the road you smile because you are taken back to that moment when your children were just little, and you remember the sound of their laugh or the way they looked at you.

These sessions are fun and relaxed. I'm happy to suggest some great locations depending on the setting you'd like (field, beach, forest, mountain etc.) and I am available within the greater Victoria area.

Ideally to be shot during golden hour, the hour before sunset.

When we meet for the session, we will take a short walk to the beginning location, and this is when I love to start getting to know your family! Making a connection with children right from the start helps them to warm up for when the camera comes out. I know it can be intimidating having your photo taken, so we will make the session fun and more about interacting with one another to create ideal situations for candid photos.

After our session, you will receive your gallery in 3-4 weeks. This timeline allows me to edit to my style and ensure that each image is ready to be shared, printed and loved.

Having photographed families for 11 years, I have found that about 30-45 mins is an ideal session time, enough for little ones to warm up and open up, but not so long that they run out of patience.
